Completing the first week of school has really had no effect on me yet. To me, it's just another part of life. A challenge for me this semester is trying to keep ALL good grades. For me, that's not TOO bad, but it's bad enough!! Some successes are getting recommended for MERIT again, but that's not too surprising.Not to brag, but I am one of the smartest student in some of my classes.Some more are good grades in Math, a few good grades in Social Studies, and getting to know every name of every classmate in ALL of my classes. And Mom says I have terrible memory.Enough of school stuff. I like school and all, but sometimes it gets to be too much.Yesterday Dad got his first deer of the season! Finally!! It was a 5 pointer buck. A pretty good size too! I didn't get to help gut it, OR cut it up, since he got it at 8:00 in the morning.
For the second 9 weeks, I hope to get to know this school better, and make better grades.

It takes time to get to know a new school. But you have done well! I am impressed you have learned everyone's names already! Now you'll have to do it again with a new schedule! You are very smart and will have many successes in life. I have a feeling you will get into a great college someday!
